Celebrating Innovation: Dr. Jianbo Jiao’s Royal Society Fellowship with Allsee
Following the highly insightful knowledge transfer partnership awarded by Innovate UK, we are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for Allsee Technologies.
Allsee is now the partner research organisation for Dr. Jianbo Jiao, who has been awarded the prestigious Royal Society Short Industry Fellowship. This fellowship is an exceptional achievement and enables Dr. Jiao to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering collaborative and innovative advancements in the technology sector.
Dr. Jianbo Jiao is an Assistant Professor in Computer Vision and Machine Learning in the School of Computer Science at University of Birmingham. He has an established background in computer science, working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Biomedical Image Analysis (BioMedIA) group and the Visual Geometry Group (VGG) at the University of Oxford. This fellowship is a testament to his expertise and contributions to the field, and it reinforces the collaborative ethos between the University of Birmingham and Allsee, the partner organisation for this fellowship.
Revolutionising Poster Design with AI
The fellowship focuses on researching transformation of commercial poster design with Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC). In the current commercial ecosystem, poster design is a crucial tool for product promotion and advertising. However, the industry-standard method is often time-consuming and inefficient, involving multiple iterations between commercial users and design teams.
Recent advancements in AI, including technologies like ChatGPT, DALL-E, and stable diffusion models, have demonstrated the potential of AI in generating content. Despite these breakthroughs, AI’s application in commercial poster design remains largely untouched. With this fellowship, Dr. Jiao’s research aims to address this gap by developing a user-friendly, AI-empowered platform for commercial poster design and generation. This innovative approach promises to streamline the design process, reducing delays and compromises, ultimately benefiting commercial users.
A Commitment to Research and Development
Allsee is not just a manufacturer of hardware and software solutions that delivers cutting-edge products. We take pride in being committed to driving research and development that benefits our customers and the digital signage industry as a whole. Dr. Jiao’s fellowship is a shining example of our dedication to fostering innovation and supporting groundbreaking research that is set to transform the technology industry.
Furthermore, we believe in the continuous development of our team. Recently, we also sent Henry, our Algorithm Engineer, to collaborate in the fellowship programme and develop his research into machine learning. This initiative underscores our commitment to research and employee development, ensuring that our team stays at the forefront of technological advancements.
