COP26 Selects Allsee Technologies’ Digital Signage Solutions
The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, is currently taking place in Glasgow Scotland. The summit, that is being held between 31st October and concludes today, brings together world leaders from over 120 countries to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
This is considered one of the biggest events of 2021 that discusses the urgency of taking actions regarding climate change, and it’s expected that around 25,000 accredited delegates will attend the conference. This includes UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, President of the United States Joe Biden, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and UN Secretary Antonio Guterres.
We are extremely proud that our displays have been selected for the event to share information and provide interactive wayfinding. Since the summit is taking place while the COVID-19 pandemic is still very much a reality, commercial displays are also being used around the facilities to inform the public regarding safety measures, as well as crucial information about events and talks.
Through our partner Glasgows, in total, we have supplied sixteen of our digital signage solutions for the event, including twelve Outdoor Digital Battery A-Boards, two Freestanding Digital Posters and two Touch Screen Freestanding Digital Posters. As part of COP26 you can also find our Outdoor Digital Advertising Display in front of 10 Downing Street, placed next to the green arch to promote and represent sustainability. These outdoor displays have also been utilised by Rolls Royce at the event to announce a new sustainably project with SDCL.
The displays that were supplied for the summit were used to replace traditional paper billboards and printed ads, allowing for content to be easily changed without the need to create additional paper and ink waste. From DV-LED to LCD, you could find an array of digital signage screens in every corner of the event’s facilities, showing that digital signage is fundamental to the future of sustainability. We are thrilled that our products are being presented at such an important and prestigious event and fully support the need to make sustainability a priority.
